The walk

A level path along the levada esplanade between the Queimadas forest park and Pico das Pedras, laid out so that people with mobility or visual impairments can get into the laurel forest properly rather than looking at it from a car park.

One point nine kilometres, three quarters of an hour, and the forest here is the same forest the six-hour version goes through.

It is also simply a nice short walk. You do not need a reason to take the easy one.

Take care

Very little. Level surface throughout, which on this island is rare enough to be the reason the trail exists.
