Which trails are open today
The status of every classified trail on Madeira and Porto Santo, as the IFCN publishes it. Trails also close without notice after storms, and Civil Protection can close them all on a day of weather warnings, so look again on the morning you walk.

- PR 7 Levada do Moinho Closed. Reported shut since 2024, with no reopening date published. Closed
- PR 20 Vereda do Jardim do Mar Closed. The tourism board and the IFCN both say so; the Calheta council page still describes it as though it were open. Closed
- PR 27 Glaciar de Planalto Closed, with no reason published. Closed trails cannot be booked on SIMplifica; check the status before planning around it. Closed
- PR 28 Levada da Rocha Vermelha Closed, with no reason published. Closed trails cannot be booked on SIMplifica; check the status before planning around it. Closed
- PS PR 3 Levada do Pico do Castelo Closed while ARM replaces the water mains that run along the levada path. No end date has been given. Some sources describe it as passable between Camacha and the Graça chapel, but the IFCN says closed. Closed
