The walk

Ten and a half kilometres of levada path in the north-west corner, from the ER 101 at Ribeira da Cruz down to around 500 m.

It has been closed for a long time — reports put it since 2024 — and no reopening date has been published. The official sources list it as shut and the fee page still carries it.

We have left this page short. Writing up a walk nobody can take, from other people's descriptions, is not something we are prepared to do.
